They make a variety of sounds but I am pretty sure that is one of them. Likely got blown in. I think it was around 2004-05, there were a bunch of them that flew in from somewhere in the fall in eastern NB. They were pretty interesting to see there. This sequence (intro whistle, trilled whistle and end whistle) was heard about six times at random intervals. To me this low regularly repeated call sounds like an Owl? > https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/178308391 > > Both sounds are amplified only. I have not figured out how to add info to the audio/photos with eBird's new technique for adding media after the checklist is saved. > > Appreciate any ideas, Nancy D > > <signatureafterquotedtext></signatureafterquotedtext> --Boundary_(ID_JCy9Ub8+D/GwxMxU5jCHSw) Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable Content-disposition: inline I am still without home internet since the storm=2C so I didn=27t take t= ime to listen to both recordings=2C but the second one would seem to be = a Yellow-billed cuckoo=2E=C2=A0 They make a variety of sounds but I am p= retty sure that is one of them=2E=C2=A0 Likely got blown in=2E=C2=A0 I t= hink it was around 2004-05=2C there were a bunch of them that flew in fr= om somewhere in the fall in eastern NB=2E They were pretty interesting t= o see there=2E=3Cdiv=3E=3Cbr /=3E=3C/div=3E=3Cdiv=3E=3Cdiv=3ERegards=2C=3C= /div=3E=3Cdiv=3E=3Cdiv=3E=3Cdiv=3E=3Cbr /=3E=3C/div=3E=3Cdiv=3EDonna Cro= ssland=3Cbr /=3E=3Cbr /=3E=3Cspan=3EOn 09/22/19 12=3A34 PM=2C =3Cb class= =3D=22name=22=3ENancyDowd =3C/b=3E =26lt=3Bnancypdowd=40gmail=2Ecom=26gt= =3B wrote=3A=3C/span=3E=3Cblockquote cite=3D=22mid=3A0369FB52-800C-4E14-= B8A5-41DDBE145AF0=40gmail=2Ecom=22 class=3D=22iwcQuote=22 style=3D=22bor= der-left=3A 1px solid =2300F=3B padding-left=3A 13px=3B margin-left=3A 0= =3B=22 type=3D=22cite=22=3E=3Cdiv class=3D=22mimetype-text-plain=22=3ETh= is unusual call was heard near other Red-eyed Vireos and based on the th= e whistle at the end I am guessing that is what it is=2E This sequence (= intro whistle=2C trilled whistle and end whistle) was heard about six ti= mes at random intervals=2E Thoughts=3F=3Cbr /=3E=3Ca href=3D=22https=3A/= /macaulaylibrary=2Eorg/asset/178070911=22 target=3D=22l=22=3Ehttps=3A//m= acaulaylibrary=2Eorg/asset/178070911=3C/a=3E=3Cbr /=3E=3Cbr /=3EThe seco= nd was heard shortly after 7am this morning=2E Way back in the woods abo= ut 5km from any dwellings=2E To me this low regularly repeated call soun= ds like an Owl=3F=3Cbr /=3E=3Ca href=3D=22https=3A//macaulaylibrary=2Eor= g/asset/178308391=22 target=3D=22l=22=3Ehttps=3A//macaulaylibrary=2Eorg/= asset/178308391=3C/a=3E=3Cbr /=3E=3Cbr /=3EBoth sounds are amplified onl= y=2E I have not figured out how to add info to the audio/photos with eBi= rd=27s new technique for adding media after the checklist is saved=2E=3C= br /=3E=3Cbr /=3EAppreciate any ideas=2C Nancy D=3Cbr /=3E=3Cbr /=3E=3C/= div=3E=3C/blockquote=3E=3C/div=3E=3C/div=3E=3C/div=3E=3C/div=3E --Boundary_(ID_JCy9Ub8+D/GwxMxU5jCHSw)--
