Hello, Gayle,

My partber and I saw a similar event. The cormorant pulled a long eel =
out of the strong current beneath a bridge on the Salt Marsh Trail. =
Titanic struggle, and the bird swam off with swollen, stiff neck. =
Exciting!!

I hope the fact that we have each seen it means it happens all the time =
and the birds can handle their big meal.

Kept swishing its beak/bill in the water, grooming its throat feathers, =
& pointing its head straight up & flapping its wings, as it swam further =
out in the lake.
