Dear All,

Black Currant, given a bit if warmth, wastes no time. The largest
leaves are now about one cm across. It must haste because shortly after
fruit ripen all of the leaves fall. So while growing a sometimes large
crop of fruit (very light in 2018) it must replenish root reserves while
nourishing a thicket of new shoots.

Multiflora Rose leaf buds are starting to open.

In recent warm days I have seen a few fairly large wild bees (half
the dimensions of Honey Bees), working Crocus flowers head down. After
nectar perhaps.

Indoor Outdoor carpeting, especially if left in contact with soil
for several years, seems to be a good culture medium for mosses.
