Early this morning in the dark I heard snaps or claps coming from tree level in a wooded area while walking along a dirt road (E Dalhousie, Kings Co). The sound stopped and then resumed at infrequent intervals while my dog and I stood there for around 5min. Also heard very short low hoots now and again. It is my understanding most owls do a bill snap and some a wing clap. I need to return to get better recordings but here are the poor ones I have so far. Any ideas as to species?

Short example of bill snap or wing clap: https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/145454371?__hstc=60209138.654ce176d843afbf64b3825199d7a408.1396643674838.1552601784607.1552666656827.724&__hssc=60209138.7.1552666656827&__hsfp=2766033334

Horrible recording of two faint low hoots at 1.5s and 3s: https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/145455531?__hstc=60209138.654ce176d843afbf64b3825199d7a408.1396643674838.1552601784607.1552666656827.724&__hssc=60209138.7.1552666656827&__hsfp=2766033334
