Dear All,
Birds, especially Robins, will eat the fruit if hungry enough so it gets=20
spread around.
If the plant in question can be found then, based on a nearby=20
hedge, there should be fruit present and they are distinctive. Black,=20
nearly spherical (puckered if somewhat dried), 6-9 mm diam and borne on=20
short lateral branches of a terminal tapering inflorescence; seeds hard,=20
black and rounded on the outside.
