Yesterday, I had the American kestrel at Fader's Cove on King Fisher Lane. =
It was the bird originally found by Kevin Lantz there. I also had three c=
hipping sparrows at First Peninsula, that had disappeared for two weeks. I=
have no idea where they were. The northern mockingbird had not been at Se=
cond Peninsula when I was there yesterday. At least I did not see it. It =
was present today though. When David Walmark and I drove in it was perched=
in the open. I did not have chance to get a photo though as it flew, narr=
owly being missed as lunch for a barred owl. It went deep into a thorny bu=
sh and was not seen again. Needlessly to say the owl was in the open and s=
till looking for lunch.
