What a lovely day here in White Point. The feeders aren't busy although they are attended steadily by what we have come to think of as "our" resident birds. They include Chickadees, Juncos, White-throated and Song Sparrows, Blue Jays, Starlings, Nuthatches, both White and Red breasted, Woodpeckers; both Hairy and Downy, Mourning Doves and quite a number of American Goldfinches with a few Pine Siskins mixed in. I though I saw a couple Redpolls but when I went to pick up the camera they disappeared. I haven't seen them since. Did I or didn't I? We were visited very briefly by an American Robin, looking over the grapevine, presenting very peaked and thin. We did put out grapes on the chance it might return but not so far. Even added a banana that was over ripe. My sister in law, in Port Mouton, had a visit by a Barred owl the other day. She posted a photo to Facebook. best regards, Marg Millard.
