I= t showed up again late in the after noon on Dec 03. Seems to be traveling with W.T. Sparrows. Has anyone reported on= e for the winter list? Dennis Hippern (DHH). The winter bird = listing seems to be going well to very well in all of Eastern Canada. Ontar= io is the province we come closest too in the number of species we get on t= he WBL every year. We ticked 4 more species than Ontario last year though t= he year prior they ended up with 17 more which was an unusually high differ= ence between us. As well as it is going for us this year so far, I think we= could use some sustained westerlies so that we may pick up more of the 161= species they have added to their WBL already! That is only 39 species less= than they ended with last year. New Brunswick was at 113 species and Newfo= undland & Labrador 93 on their last updates. Winter Bird List (WBL) runs from Dec 1 =96 to Feb 29 Depth of Winter List (DOWL) runs from Feb 28 We are going to just stick with the same spreadsheets for now though I hope= to at least update to a more pleasing colour set at some point. Peter will= have the spreadsheets up a bit later. For more info and history or to download the full spreadsheet , visit our W= inter Bird List page at the Nova Scotia Bird Society website. https://www.nsbirdsociety.ca/library/resources/the-birds-of-winter --_000_BN6PR05MB328353C41AF37A6D56ABAEBDD3AF0BN6PR05MB3283namp_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DWindows-1= 252"> <style type=3D"text/css" style=3D"display:none;"> P {margin-top:0;margin-bo= ttom:0;} </style> </head> <body dir=3D"ltr"> <div style=3D"color:rgb(0,0,0); font-family:Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; f= ont-size:12pt"> I first saw my backyard Dickcissel on Nov 16 and every 2 or 3 days since.
