These two somewhat-rare species have appeared in the Aylesford area and sh=
ow signs of hanging around. As far as I know, they have not previously bee=
n reported on these lists.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker has been visiting the feeding station of Ann You=
ng at 1188 Victoria Road here since the third week of October. Her compl=
ex of feeders is behind the house (the same one that hosted a Yellow-throat=
ed Warbler a few years ago), and can be seen from their driveway. Just us=
e the doorbell to let someone know what you are doing.

This morning (Nov. 10) I had a call from Sheila Hulford, who had just seen =
three Sandhill Cranes in the field at the SW corner of the intersection of =
Ward and Palmer Roads in Auburn. She had been alerted by Ron Rogerson, own=
er of the nearby Oaklawn Zoo, who had seen them yesterday. They had walked=
out of sight in that field by the time Sheila called, but were likely in =
the same area.
