I was surprised to see this big silhouette on a wire early this morning in Barss Corner, Lun Co. A juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. I have never seen a raptor this large balanced on a utility wire. It took off with only a wobble, the big wings carrying it easily up and away. Taken through the windshield: https://www.flickr.com/photos/150605880@N07/29065379667/in/dateposted-public/ Here is this juvenile's call once it landed in some trees bordering the field, just before the blue jays located it. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/110569891?__hstc=60209138.654ce176d843afbf64b3825199d7a408.1396643674838.1533987466779.1534076097470.355&__hssc=60209138.8.1534076097470&__hsfp=2933905051 Nancy D E Dalhousie, Kings Co.
