Dear All,
While driving through the North Alton woodlot today there were 5-6=20
birds with bright yellow moving through one location; very leafy so just=20
had glimpses. I have never seen them previously anywhere in the woodlot=20
so wonder if they follow the food like Waxwings; they were in a somewhat=20
opened regrowth area to enable more ground cover and insect diversity.
In another area some bird had made a nest on the ground, wisely in=20
the middle of a narrow road so impossible to run over. Nest was about 3"=20
across with several (4 ?) small pale blue eggs. Still tended I think=20
because a bird flew off as I walked nearby. What fits this context ?
