There has been a lot of press about plastic in the ocean. The linked BBC contribution is the first record that came to my attention about a direct impact on large animals (Shearwaters). https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-44579422 While this is not a direct Nova Scotia story, there are e.g. Leach's Storm Petrel colonies where chicks may be similarly fed plastic debris. If somebody knows about similar findings or research along our shores, I would be interested. Burkhard
