Index of Subjects I have seen various "sea ducks" in fresh water: scaups, mergansers, buffleheads ... My brother saw a couple of buffleheads on Lake Milo north of Yarmouth earlier in the week. Back in the summer of '83, I was crossing the "pond" on the Mersey below Rossignol, I saw a small, dark bird swimming. It took off: looked like a Wilson's Petrel to me. Reported it to Phyllis Dobson.
