A Snowy Egret appeared in the ball field in L'Ardoise this morning. It's name is fitting for the day (here at least). As you can see in the Spring First Arrivals table it is slightly earlier than the first sightings of the last four years, but not by a lot. http://www.nsbirdsociety.ca/library/resources/spring-first-arrivals Interesting how Cape Breton and HRM, rather than SW NS, have been the first sighting locations for the bulk of the early waders.
