Both the Great Egret and Tricolored Heron are very early overshoots compared=
 to the last four years as you can see here http://www.nsbirdsociety.ca/libr=
ary/resources/spring-first-arrivals Especially the TRHE which is more normal=
ly seen for the first time in May. The windy storms of late are likely respo=
nsible for these advance arrivals. =20

There were actually two Tricolored Heron in the same vicinity I hear- the lu=
ckier one laid low and avoided the crowds.=20
