<p style=3D Would anyone know if there's been other recent reports of western Willets found wintering further north than usual (i.e. Maine etc)? According to McLaren that subspecies is routinely found along the eastern seaboard of the US in winter. There were two present initially, when I first saw them, but this was during migration when there was a load of willets moving through. Richard is right about this being the third winter for one there. It would be interesting if someone could analyse the photos that I have to try and determine if it is the same bird. > > Sincerely, > > James R.
