Lane & Jaramillo (2000) propose that the ratio of the length of the primary= extension beyond the tertials to the length of the exposed tertials might = be the best way to compare the wing length of both species. They found that= in Bicknell's, this ratio is 1:1 or less while in Gray-cheeked, it is 1:1 = or greater.
