--_000_CY4PR13MB1431D4EC69A82A2045A53454B0310CY4PR13MB1431namp_ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable We are now at 166 species It is always good when I first post about the birds we are missing from the= WBL so far because invariably I get tipped about several species that slip= ped through the cracks for one reason or another. The most notable one that= slipped by was not 1 Dovekie but 247 of them at Baccaro Point on Dec 6! Ma= rk Dennis and Paul Gould had a great seawatch that morning and also had a P= omarine Jaeger, Common Murre, Atlantic Puffin, 81 Razorbill and 90 Black-l= egged Kittiwake and the first Northern Fulmar on the WBL. I would like to h= ave showed up there that morning! Additions since the last update: American Woodcock =96 Marg Millard, White Point, Queens Dovekie =96 Mark Dennis and Paul Gould, Bacarro Point Northern Shrike =96 Mike MacDonald tipped me about a post (with photo) on f= rom a Dec 3 sighting on the NS Bird Society Facebook page. I don=92t know w= here or who the observer was. Greater Yellowlegs - Charlene MacDonald, First South, Lunenburg (Dec 7) Barn Swallow =96 Ken McKenna, Gull Island, Pictou. Only the 3rd time on our= WBL Blue-headed Vireo =96 Larry Neily, French Basin Trail, Annapolis. 4th year = in a row Cory=92s Shearwater =96 Ronnie d=92Entremont, west of Seal Island, Yarmouth= . Only the 2nd time ever on the WBL. Another great lingering straggler from= the mild start to winter. I have to give Peter Brannon another plug for a incredible shot he took las= t week that made it on to Flickr=92s Explorer page. Check out the Tricolore= d Heron he snapped in Florida on Nov 28th. As of the time I write this, 11= 1,867 people and counting have viewed this photo. https://www.flickr.com/photos/peterbrannon/38807654161/in/dateposted/ There may be a short delay before the spreadsheet gets uploaded but for mor= e info or to view, download the WBL spreadsheet, visit our Winter Birds pag= e under Library at http://nsbirdsociety.ca/ Keith Lowe --_000_CY4PR13MB1431D4EC69A82A2045A53454B0310CY4PR13MB1431namp_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w=3D"urn:sc= hemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/of= fice/2004/12/omml" xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40"> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DWindows-1= 252"> <meta name=3D"Generator" content=3D"Microsoft Word 15 (filtered medium)"> <style><!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {mso-style-priority:99; color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {mso-style-priority:99; color:#954F72; text-decoration:underline;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only;} @page WordSection1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.0in 1.0in 1.0in;} div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;} --></style> </head> <body lang=3D"EN-US" link=3D"blue" vlink=3D"#954F72"> <div class=3D"WordSection1"> <p class=3D"MsoNormal">We are now at 166 species</p> <p class=3D"MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p> <p class=3D"MsoNormal">It is always good when I first post about the birds = we are missing from the WBL so far because invariably I get tipped about se= veral species that slipped through the cracks for one reason or another.
