I had no recollection of this genus although I have noticed dark lumps=20
on Birch and wondered what it was. So I checked Gourley (NS Inst. Sci.=20
32:75-295, 1983).
     This is all Greek to me but I see he lists seven species of=20
Inonotus. Are any of the other six superficially similar ?
