Yesterday I saw 3-6 birds in a large dead tree in a partially regrown cutover. They were flycatching and returning to their perch frequently so it was hard to tell exactly how many there were. Size and behaviour (hunting from a prominent perch in a clearing) plus the upright flycatcher stance and sloped head profile suggested Olive Sided Flycatchers to me, possible immature. I did notice a white patch flash on one plus a relatively short squared off tail. Here is a hazy photo if it is any help:https://www.flickr.com/photos/150605880@N07/36588939043/in/dateposted-public/ I have a friend keeping track of these birds as a species at risk so would like to report them if others feel I have the right ID.
