It was seen and photographed 3 times at Miner's Marsh yesterday: twice in the morning and once at 3:45 pm. Several birders have reported it from the Marsh this morning, on the exposed shorelines in the west pond (just over the bridge). Even though the shorelines do not seem that far from any spot, a scope is helpful for distinguishing the shorebirds. The Ruff is in interesting plumage and some examples can be seen on the Miner's Marsh and Atlantic Canada Birding Facebook page, or on these eBird checklists: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S38979732 http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S38991059 http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S38992336 James On Mon, Sep 4, 2017 at 10:52 AM, Angus MacLean <Cold_Mac@hotmail.com> wrote: > No Ruff at MIner's Marsh 9:40-10:00 this am.
