A male Tennessee Warbler was singing at regular intervals this morning from the grounds of St. George's Anglican Church (that's the "round church") in north end Halifax. I first heard it singing from the line of trees along the border between the church parking and the adjacent parking lot of the former St. Patrick's / Alexandra School, off Maitland Street, near Cornwallis St. I spent nearly half an hour between 9 and 9:30 a.m., following it up and down the line of elm trees before I finally had good looks at it - the leaves and seed clusters are pretty dense now!
