Hi Dave was hoping to go as will be in Dartmouth at Judys late this afternoo=
n for a Colombia get together but my sister and I have to head out early to g=
o to pei for a funeral tomorrow. Hope taping works out. If so, might it be s=
tored and available to view later not on Facebook?=20
No worries if not but I was interested in the topic. Have a great meeting to=
nite Dave.=20
Way behind on my report to Ian. Working on it this morning but I think I hav=

> Non-breeding distributions remain unknown for many seabird species and lin=
ks between their distributions, overwinter ecology, reproduction and surviva=
l are poorly understood despite their importance for marine management and c=
onservation. To begin to address these knowledge gaps, I developed a researc=
h program using small, light-sensing loggers to track rhinoceros auklets fro=
m colonies throughout their breeding range in the Northeast Pacific. In this=
talk I will explain the driving questions behind my research and its applic=
ations, introduce you to my focal species, primary field sites, and techniqu=
es, and share some unexpected preliminary tracking results. There will, of c=
ourse, be images and stories from the field throughout!
