I checked the records for various weather stations in Nova Scotia. Among the ones I checked, the earliest coldest day was Keji Park at January 25th and the latest was Sydney at February 9th. You can check which station is closest to you at: https://weatherspark.com/averages/stations/Canada/Nova%20Scotia. John From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca] On Behalf Of GayleMacLean Sent: February-07-17 08:08 To: naturens <naturens@chebucto.ns.ca> Subject: [NatureNS] 'Coldest Day Of The Year' All, Every year I always enjoy the announcement about the date (usually in Feb), the 'Coldest Day Of The Year', will fall on, as determined by historical data of average temperatures, provided by Environment Canada. Does anyone have that information? It would always give me hope, as we endure the 'depths of winter'. Seriously, this winter hasn't been so bad, though! Thanks in advance, for any information! Sincerely, Gayle MacLean Dartmouth ------=_NextPart_000_0021_01D28134.9E0780A0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" = xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" = xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40"><head><meta = http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"><meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 15 = (filtered medium)"><style><!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {mso-style-priority:99; color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {mso-style-priority:99; color:purple; text-decoration:underline;} p.msonormal0, li.msonormal0, div.msonormal0 {mso-style-name:msonormal; mso-margin-top-alt:auto; margin-right:0cm; mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto; margin-left:0cm; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;} span.EmailStyle18 {mso-style-type:personal; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; color:windowtext;} span.EmailStyle19 {mso-style-type:personal-compose; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; color:windowtext;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-fareast-language:EN-US;} @page WordSection1 {size:612.0pt 792.0pt; margin:72.0pt 72.0pt 72.0pt 72.0pt;} div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;} --></style></head><body lang=3DEN-CA link=3Dblue vlink=3Dpurple><div = class=3DWordSection1><p class=3DMsoNormal><span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;mso-fareast-la= nguage:EN-US'>Hi Gayle,<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=3DMsoNormal><span = style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;mso-fareast-la= nguage:EN-US'>It depends where you are in Nova Scotia.
