Hi Gayle,
It depends where you are in Nova Scotia. I checked the records for various
weather stations in Nova Scotia. Among the ones I checked, the earliest
coldest day was Keji Park at January 25th and the latest was Sydney at
February 9th. You can check which station is closest to you at:

All,
Every year I always enjoy the announcement about the date (usually in Feb),
the 'Coldest Day Of The Year', will fall on, as determined by historical
data of average temperatures, provided by Environment Canada.
Does anyone have that information?
It would always give me hope, as we endure the 'depths of winter'.
Seriously, this winter hasn't been so bad, though!
