In most (all?) operating systems, there is also a shortcut allowing users to quickly switch from one keyboard layout to another. For those who always use the same keyboard layout, one option is to switch the "short cut" keystroke off, or perhaps even uninstall all except the preferred layout. Search for "keyboard setting" or similar, in the systems settings of your computer to find out how to turn this feature off or on as you prefer.
