Hi Paul,

One of the alarm calls of the Long-eared Owl is a barking sound. About =
the right size and shape for your bird as well. At 4 pm on cloudy fall =
day is possible as well for this nocturnal bird.

John

Hi All=20

This afternoon about 4 I was out in my yard when I heard

a dog bark - a soft bark. I looked over the field and there was a=20

bird flying towards me - making soft barks as it went along.

About crow size or a little bigger with round wings and an easy

flight. I couldn't make out any marks as it was not very bright.

Anyone any idea what bird barks?

Enjoy the last of fall

Paul
