a million years what Charlie fou --001a113986a0db1ecc053e9bf264 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable They often get disoriented in high winds and land on shore. They have zero chance odf getting back to the water unless you physically bring them to the ocean and toss them in the air over the water. You can toss them over land 100 times and they will just flutter to the ground. I always release them at dusk as they are nocturnal and also prone to gull predation if you let them go in the daylight. There's nothing you can feed them in captivity and it's best to handle them with gloved hands as even hand oils can interrupt their very sensitive waterproofing. We've been getting them off and on the past 3 weeks.
