The province has approved the applications of Northern Pulp and five other =
companies to spray more than 2,600 hectares of woodland with VisionMax, a h=
erbicide containing the active ingredient glyphosate. Northern Pulp will be=
carrying out about half of the spraying, which is intended to choke out ha=
rdwoods and provide for the unimpeded growth of coniferous trees.
