The studio is in the = lower level behind the grapevine for those who have visited the = property. It was on the sill and speaking to something that was close by = and answering. It lifted itself up to a piece of driftwood under the = platform feeder and there was another in the grapevine. I grabbed the = camera and headed upstairs to see could I get a photo. I startled the = when I moved ever so carefully to the doorway and there were three that = flew away. I have no way of knowing but my first thought is youngsters = with a parent bird. The most noticeable things were the eyes which were = red and the tails were rounded. I heard the chatter about the yard = yesterday and a short while ago today.=20 I am trying to catch them with the camera but things are crazy getting = ready for the opening of the lighthouse show in Port Medway at 6. The = time they showed up was around 4:30 or 5 and I will be gone. Maybe = tomorrow.=20 Marg Millard, White Point .................................... Hi All=20 This morning while doing some chores in the yard, I saw a hawk flying = around. I sat down to watch and it landed up a tall oak tree about 100m away. It could see me and we watched each other for a few minutes. Then it = flew and came straight at me. On a downward plane. When it got about 10 m = away it flared up and sat on a limb just over my head. It looked down and turned = its head for a better look. I never saw a curious hawk before! Then it flew of.
