<span style="font-size: 14pt;">This evening was so lovely I went over to the local river for<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">a few hours fishing after supper. It was beautiful, warm, no wind or bugs.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">The Frogs and Toads had a concert going and there was enough fish to<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">be interesting.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt;">About sundown I heard a squeal and I looked and saw an eagle coming up river<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">with an osprey in hot pursuit. Neither looked to have anything in their talons but<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">the osprey was making it hot for the eagle, diving very close if not actually hitting it.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">The eagle was doing its best to avoid contact with some moves Sid would envy!<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">After they passed me the eagle dove into a group of pine trees and wasn't seen again. <br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">The osprey then circled over the pines a number of times but didn't dive in.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">I presume the eagle had landed in the trees. After insulting the eagle as best it could<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">it gathered itself and flew back down river.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">I don't know what started the affair - maybe the eagle wanted an osprey chick for supper.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">All and all an interesting evening.<br/></span>
