A Junco successfully hatched four eggs in a nest on a beam supporting the roof of a pergola about three weeks ago. The other day, a second clutch hatched and to my surprise I can identify at least 3 different Juncos undertaking feeding chores, one of which is the ready identifiable hen. Could the other feeders possibly be from the first clutch? Or is it more likely the paterfamilias of both clutches is pitching in? And if so, who might #3 feeder be? Mike McCall
