=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= All, I just read you post, Jen. I had been wondering if anyone has been doing surveys with bad detectors. A week or so ago, the Fletcher Wildlife Gardens in Ottawa had a bat workshop using a detector that was on loan from Nature Canada. Unfortunately, it seems like their units are only available free of charge in the Ottawa area. I don't know if can be loaned out to NS naturalists for free - if at all. Last week, I checked into the price of the model of detector that was used of the workshop and I think it's somewhere around $200 to $250. There are less expensive models that can be orders (50 to 100), and much more expensive models available. The ones that can record and analyze digital data for hours long surveys are expensive -- most are in the 2 to 3 thousand dollar range. I had been thinking it might be a useful thing to experiment with while I'm out late at night photographing moths at my lamps. Anyhow, I was curious if anyone here in NS was using them, so you've answered my question, Jen.
