Hello All, This is the notice that will be going out to the recently announced nature outing group - an email notification group for naturalists who would like to go out on informal walks together. I'm sending this out to everyone on NatureNS in case there are any who would like to join us on our first walk. All are welcome - whether or not you have already sent me an email about joining the nature outing group. ----------------- Tupperville Brook Walk - Birds, Botany & Bugs: Saturday, May 14, 8:30 a.m. (rain date is May 15, same time). Meeting place will be Tupperville Hall on Route 201 Tupperville is about mid way between Bridgetown and Annapolis Royal. The hall is on the south side of the highway. Donna Crossland and I are planning to go for a walk along Tupperville Brook on Saturday, May 14th. We will be meeting at the Tupperville Hall on Route 201 at 8:30 a.m., and will set out from there. We will be doing some birding, botanizing and looking for insect activity (other than black flies!) as we ramble along. Note: The pace will be casual, as befitting of naturalists who wish to take time to look around and study things. We have decided on a rain date of Sunday, May 15th, at 8:30 a.m. Walking conditions should be fairly easy, but hiking boots are recommended. Bring along your binoculars if you'll be birding. No doubt, there will be black flies, so take whatever precautions you feel necessary. If you need more information about this walk, just email either Donna or me off list: bkwigney@gmail.com dcrossland@eastlink.ca If you want to be added to the email nature outing group, please email me off list bkwigney@gmail.com
