Join us Thursday evening, April 28, 2016 at the NS Museum of Natural =
History, Halifax to hear Ingrid Pollet speak about Storm-petrels. Talk =
begins at 7:30 PM

Anyone who has had the privilege to visit an off-shore island where =
these amazing birds breed will know the awe that occurs when they come =
into their nesting burrows late at night. You will recall the eerie, =
laughing calls resonating through the foggy darkness as if it were =
yesterday.=20

Ingrid Pollet was born and raised in France. She studied agronomy in =
Lyon and moved to Canada twenty years ago. She held several positions at =
the Canadian Wildlife Service in British Columbia, working with =
Yellow-Breasted Chats and American Dippers before going back to graduate =
school in 2009.

Thursday she will tell us about things she learned while studying =
Leach=92s Storm-Petrels on Bon Portage Island over the last few years.

As a bonus, more books from the Blake Maybank collection will be =
available.

Our meetings are open to the public and as usual, there will be =
refreshments available prior to and after the talk.=20

Dave
