A rare but regular overshooting migrant in spring = (earliest 23 April, latest 5 June) but only one report in fall, in mid Octo= ber. The first appears to have been one on 10 May 1970 (WL), followed by an= other on 24 May 1970. Thereafter, between 1983 and 2011 about 23 individual= s were seen between 23 April and 5 June in 14 of the 26 years, and one imma= ture was present (no details) from 13-16 October 1999. Three (two males and= a female) on the island on 14 May 2011 were part of an unusual arrival of = many in Nova Scotia that month. Ian's book would provide a clearer provincial scope to the sightings of Sum= mer Tanager. A friend in on Meadow Pond Lane, just as you come out of Liverpool toward White Point, in Queens Co. has been seeing a bird he can't find in his books. He is sure it is a Grosbeak. He would be familiar with them. The bird is all red, like a Cardinal but it is not a Cardinal, for sure, he said. It is travelling with a Rose-breasted Grosbeak= . Has anyone else seen anything like this? He will try to get a photo but he said his camera isn't a good one and the feeder is a bit distant. A friend in on Meadow Pond Lane, just as= <br> you come out of Liverpool toward White Point, in Queens Co. has been seeing= <br> a bird he can't find in his books. He is sure it is a Grosbeak. He would be= <br> familiar with them. The bird is all red, like a Cardinal but it is not a<br= > Cardinal, for sure, he said. It is travelling with a Rose-breasted Grosbeak= .<br> Has anyone else seen anything like this?<br> He will try to get a photo but he said his camera isn't a good one and the<= br> feeder is a bit distant. He hasn't seen it today, he did see it (them)<br> several times over the past week.<br> Marg<br> <br> Marg Millard<br> 19 White Point 2 Rd., White Point, Queens Co., R.R. # 1 Hunts Point, Nova<b= r> Scotia , Canada<br> <a href=3D"tel:%28902%29%20683-2393"><span style=3D"color:purple">(902) 683= -2393</span></a><span class=3D"apple-converted-space"> </span><a href= =3D"http://MargMillard.ca">MargMillard.ca</a><br> Facebook: White Point Artist, Marg Millard.</span><o:p></o:p></p> </div> <p class=3D"MsoNormal" style=3D"margin-bottom:12.0pt"><span style=3D"font-f= amily:"Calibri",sans-serif">---<br> This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software.<br> <a href=3D"https://www.avast.com/antivirus" target=3D"_blank"><span style= =3D"color:purple">https://www.avast.com/antivirus</span></a></span><o:p></o= :p></p> </div> <div> <div> <p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span style=3D"font-family:"Calibri",sans-= serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div> <p class=3D"MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p> </div> </div> <div> <p class=3D"MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p> </div> <table class=3D"MsoNormalTable" border=3D"1" cellpadding=3D"0" style=3D"bor= der:none;border-top:solid #AAABB6 1.0pt"> <tbody> <tr> <td width=3D"470" style=3D"width:352.5pt;border:none;padding:15.0pt .75pt .= 75pt .75pt"> <div> <p class=3D"MsoNormal" style=3D"line-height:13.5pt"><span style=3D"font-siz= e:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#41424E">This email= has been sent from a virus-free computer protected by Avast.<span class=3D= "apple-converted-space"> </span><br> <a href=3D"https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=3Demail&utm_sourc= e=3Dlink&utm_campaign=3Dsig-email&utm_content=3Demailclient" target= =3D"_blank"><span style=3D"color:#4453EA">www.avast.com</span></a></span><o= :p></o:p></p> </div> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> </div> </blockquote> </div> <p class=3D"MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p> </div> </body> </html> --_000_990B3EE94E8A61448C998FEBAEAFC0241F1276D6HCXDSPM2calmcoc_--
