We have Pinus sylvestris in Nova Scotia, and whether it is Scot's, Scotch
or Scorched, it is an introduced and naturalized species. The fossil
deposits show that Nova Scotia (New Scotland) and Old Scotland must have
been closer physically during the carboniferous period, we have since
drifted apart physically but still share some cultural links.
