The number of ducks seems to be one of the most obvious groups = that is down this winter, presumably because they have many more options = from the lack of ice. But we did well on ducks, we got all the species = on to the DoWL that we normally get. One might think that we would get = more sparrows from a milder February, but no they are the biggest reason = we=E2=80=99re going to fall short on our DoWL. We usually get = White-crowned Sparrow, Field Sparrow and Dickcissel. Also, unless they = come in under the wire, Carolina Wren, Brown Thrasher and = Wilson=E2=80=99s Snipe will be uncommon misses to the DoWL.
