From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca] On Behalf Of Jim Wolford Sent: February 27, 2016 6:36 PM To: naturens Subject: [NatureNS] red-tailed hawk at dusk, Wolfville Begin forwarded message: From: Jim Wolford <jimwolford@eastlink.ca> Subject: red-tailed hawk at dusk, Wolfville Date: February 27, 2016 at 6:35:14 PM AST To: Nature BNS <nature@blomidonnaturalists.ca> Cc: "Jim Wolford ." <jimwolford@eastlink.ca> At 6:20 p.m. AST, in east-end Wolfville a very probable red-tailed hawk flew over Hwy. 1 from the direction of the dykelands toward residential areas, where probably the hawk at the end of its foraging day was going to roost. Maybe it just dined on a nice fat rat? Ain't it great that the days are so noticeably lengthening, with lots of hormonal consequences out there in nature? Enjoy the spring, in Paul's words, and cheers from Jim in Wolfville. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus ------=_NextPart_000_0012_01D17194.946B3F10 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-micr= osoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" xmlns=3D"http:= //www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">
<META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT= =3D"text/html; charset=3Dus-ascii"><meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Micros= oft Word 14 (filtered medium)">

<span style=3D'f= ont-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Short win= ter days don’t bother me much, but the lengthening days do “fee= l” good!

<span style=3D'fon= t-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'> =

<div style=3D'border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.= 0pt;padding:3.0pt 0cm 0cm 0cm'>
<span lang=3DEN-US s= tyle=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:</b= ><span lang=3DEN-US style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-se= rif"'> naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca]= On Behalf Of Jim Wolford
Sent: February 27, 2016 6:36 PM<= br>To: naturens
Subject: [NatureNS] red-tailed hawk at dus= k, Wolfville

&nb= sp;

Begin forwarded messag= e:

<p = class=3DMsoNormal><span style=3D'font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>F= rom: <span style=3D'font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>Jim Wo= lford <<a href=3D"mailto:jimwolford@eastlink.ca">jimwolford@eastlink.ca<= /a>>

<span style= =3D'font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>Subject: red-tailed hawk at dusk,= Wolfville

<spa= n style=3D'font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>Date: <span sty= le=3D'font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>February 27, 2016 at 6:35:14 PM= AST

<span style=3D= 'font-family:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>To: <span style=3D'font-f= amily:"Helvetica","sans-serif"'>Nature BNS <<a href=3D"mailto:nature@blo= midonnaturalists.ca">nature@blomidonnaturalists.ca></o:p= >

<span style=3D'font-family:"Helveti= ca","sans-serif"'>Cc: <span style=3D'font-family:"Helvetica","sa= ns-serif"'>"Jim Wolford ." <<a href=3D"mailto:jimwolford@eastl= ink.ca">jimwolford@eastlink.ca>

At 6:20 p.m. AS= T, in east-end Wolfville a very probable red-tailed hawk flew over Hwy. 1 f= rom the direction of the dykelands toward residential areas, where probably= the hawk at the end of its foraging day was going to roost.
