Baltimore Orioles can sound pretty similar. But Carolina Wren is not out of=
the question either. We don't have them on the winter bird list yet this y=
ear but we have had them 7 out of the last 9 winters and they have been on =
the DoWL (sighted in February) on 6 of the last 9 years.

I=E2=80=99m actually heading towards the south shore in a few minutes =2C i=
f it appears again=2C can you let know if there is a public area I might be=
able to hear or see it . Good luck getting further observations/recording.

Thanks

Subject: [NatureNS] what sounds similar to Carolina Wren

For the last couple of weeks I have heard a bird calling in the woods=2C us=
ually early in the morning=2C that I cannot place. To me it sounds like a C=
arolina Wren song "tea-kettle=2C tea-kettle=2C tea kettle" but is most like=
ly not. It doesn't sound like any of the Cardinal vocalizations I am used t=
o hearing around Bridgewater. Any suggestions?

I will try to get a recording.
