But birds don=E2=80=99t seem to like it when you make = assumptions about them. We=E2=80=99ve been stuck at 195 for some time = and the 202 is looking out of reach. It appears we=E2=80=99ll be lucky = to achieve our average of 197. =20 In comparison to last year=E2=80=99s cruel winter, we are down three = duck species: Redhead, Canvasback and Blue-winged Teal. We picked up = American Redstart but missed four other warbler species and three = sparrow species.=20 =20 Unless one shows up soon, it will be the first winter in 20 or more = years which we didn=E2=80=99t get an Eastern Meadowlark. =20 However, I feel an epic spring is setting up rather nicely!
