Helene's comment addresses something I have often wondered about.  What woul=
d happen if Avian flu or some similar contagious disease broke out at a farm=
 in the maritimes.  Wouldn't the eagles be at risk of becoming infected?  Al=
so, could they not carry viruses from one location to another?  With so much=
 concern over biosecurity on large farms, I would think there would be some r=
isk in putting dead birds out where they would be scavenged by eagles or oth=
er birds that fly from one farm to another.
