On that we all agree Donna. At least I hope so.=20

I just feel that 'invasives' should be judged on the basis of =
properties; not on how recently they migrated.=20

I am no fan of Dutch Elm Disease and the like but in the absence of =
most invasives our hugely disturbed environment would be in more of a =
mess than it now is. To a large degree they pay the bills of the =
biological economy. So I think it is unfortunate to class a plant or =
animal as undesirable on the basis of it being non-native.

  Hi Donna & All,

Right. With threats like Noctua pronuba invasions, at the gate, it =
does make one wonder why anyone would worry about little things like =
climate change. And it probably did not enter the country legally, by =
going through Customs and Immigration.
