Any domestic breed of dog=2C and a German Shepherd is a domestic breed=2C=
COULD be in the mix of coywolf=2E However=2C I honestly think a DNA tes=
t could never tell what breed=2E =

=3E I snapped the pic at the link below while birding the Wolfville Rail=
Trail West yesterday=2E Can we tell from this pic what it is exactly=3F=
I would think it is a coywolf but is that even an official designation=3F=
I searched other pictures of coywolf and coyotes and this one does seem=
to more closely match coywolf but there is also quite a range in the lo=
ok of coywolf=2C presumably depending on the mix of coyote/wolf/dog=2E A=
lso is German Shepherd the only dog that can be in the mix of coywolf=3F=
Can we tell what mix this one is=3F

=3E It was behaving more like coyote than dog=2E The pic was taken with =
a 400 mm lens so it was quite far off the trail (100+ meters I believe) =
and didn=92t come any closer=2E It walked parallel to the trail in the s=
ame direction I was going for a while and it knew I was watching and it =
kept its distance=2E
