<span style="font-size: 12pt;">in the yard protected from the wind by a bed of rhodos.<br/></span>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">There is quite a number of hawkweed in bloom also some<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">late asters.<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">As I was enjoying the sun, a bumblebee ( Bombus impatience ) came<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">along and landed on my pants leg. She stood on her front legs with her back legs</span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">stroked her abdomen. After she was finished she stroked her back legs on my<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">pant legs. That left a little pile of yellow pollen.<br/></span>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Next she turned and ate the pollen. at least some of it. When lunch was finished<br/></span>
</div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">she flew of to another hawkweed. A nice little bee - always welcome in my garden.<br/></span>
