First off American wigeons are not common in Lunenburg County=2C so there w=
ere two in the pond at Fort Point=2C LaHave. Don't jump me for including t=
his on the rare bird alert. I know it is not rare but uncommon here. =20
=20
There was a juvenile lark sparrow along the Bell Cove Road in Dublin Shore.
=20
The male eastern towhee=2C which showed up at the feeder of Cathy Ramey alo=
ng the Ramey Road in Crousetown yesterday=2C was still present there today.=
Her cottage is the only one with feeders along the road. The bird is ten=
ding to the right of the garage. You cannot see the feeder from the road=
=2C so you would need to walk up the driveway. =20
=20
There were a number of rare birds reported at Hell's Point yesterday. Just=
an update that all of those birds seem to have moved out. It was dead as =
a door nail there this evening. =20
=20
I have a shorebird I need to send off for analysis. When it flew I would h=
ave thought it was a snipe=2C but it is not. It is snipe size. I then tho=
ught pectoral sandpiper=2C but certain features bother me. So I'll report =
once a positive ID is established. =20
