--001a113cd81ebc52e605222bc977 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Has anyone else had an abundance of *Assassin Beetles* (Reduviida) around their homes lately? I have rarely noticed them in the past but for the past 3 weeks there have been several on my house and decking. Kind of a creepy but interesting bug. Apparently some types of Assassin Beetles can inflict a nasty bite. Have pics if anyone wishes to ID the variety.. On Sunday we had a vibrantly coloured but flightly* American Lady Butterfly* feeding on our remaining butterfly bush flowers. Haven't seen it since. Did get pics. Had a *Swainson's Thrush* make an appearance in our woods yesterday. It was a calm bird allowing for easy viewing and a few mediocre pics.
