This plant was growing on the side of a rocky road in Crossburn (nr E Dalhousie) NS. The main reason I noticed it was because I was wondering where the strong, unpleasant smell (like cat pee) was coming from. It looks like the common Nodding Ladies' Tresses (Spiranthes cernua) but it could be the creamy Yellow Ladies' Tresses (S. ochroleuca): https://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/20915389854/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/21546897951/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/92981528@N08/20915381474/in/dateposted-public/ According to Boland's Wildflowers of Nova Scotia (2014) the Yellow Ladies' Tresses is the one with the strong fragrance. Which one would this be? Thanks, Nancy
