My guess is that it was a reference to the Pope declaring this the "World D=
ay of Prayer for the Care of Creation". Check out the news media, this <htt=
p://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2015/09/01/pope_marks_first_world_day_of_praye=
r_for_care_of_creation/1168818> for example.

Does anyone have any clue what this apparent response is about, or is it ju=
st me missing a post that would explain it?

This was once about bites, spiders, fire ants, etc. Creation???

We have fire ants on our street! Our daughter got a mysterious bite that s=
ounds like yours. Could fire ants be the culprit?

Dear All, Aug 30, 2015

On Aug 17 I brought in a load of wood and carried some armloads of small =
to the truck in the crook of my left arm. When I got home and washed I foun=
d a red raised area on my left forearm, distal of the elbow crease by about=
1 cm; dull red, about as large as a quarter and raised about 3 mm in the m=
iddle. The next day the joints of my left hand, digits and wrist, ached not=
icably but only a few hours that one day. Over the following 13 days the re=
d area has gradually become fainter and lower; now still almost quarter siz=
ed but barely present .

I was not aware of having been stung where the reddish area is but the wo=
od tier was also a red ant apartment and I had many ant bites; a mild sting=
would have been dismissed as just another ant bite.

There frequently are spiders in these wood shelters and sometimes centipe=
des. So I am wondering if any of our species might be able to do this; caus=
e these symptoms without a noticable (painful) sting.

There is no halo and I eliminated deer tick because it is not like a tick=
 to bite and run.

Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville
