Today, August 21, there were two Stilt Sandpipers with the Short-billed Dow=
itchers in one of the marsh inlets behind Sand Dollar Beach, Rose Bay. Lune=
nburg Co. One was likely the bird found by Kevin Lantz a few days ago. Both=
are adults in molt, although one is still quite barred below while the oth=
er has lost most of its barring.

Among the regular peeps, there were a few juvenile Least Sandpipers among t=
he adults, and a surprising (to me) number of juvenile Semipalmated Sandpip=
ers with adults,

Eric L. Mills
