  <div>
   Hi All
  </div>
  <div>
   Yesterday we went to visit Walton Lighthouse. I never meet a lighthouse I didn&#39;t like
  </div>
  <div>
   and this one was no exception. Brings back memories of my young days!
  </div>
  <div>
   Between the lighthouse and the lookoff is a fine grove of Mountain Ash. Very nice
  </div>
  <div>
   trees up to 15 m and about 15 cm in diameter at chest height. Not many limbs and trunks not
  </div>
  <div>
   very straight.&#160; They must be very hardy growing on a headland exposed to the north and in
  </div>
  <div>
   range of salt spray from the bay. I am not sure of the species but very different from Rowan tree.
  </div>
  <div>
   I couldn&#39;t see any fruit on them.
  </div>
  <div>
   There was a flock of shorebirds out on the flats. 200 - 300 as a guess - the tide was coming in and
  </div>
  <div>
   they kept ahead of it. Several small boats went out as the tide fell, waited part way out and came back in
  </div>
  <div>
   on the rise of the tide. They might have been harvesting worms but they were too far away
  </div>
  <div>
   to see. Several striper anglers went out a long piece on foot to fish the incoming tide. Their
  </div>
  <div>
   confidence in their ability to read the tide was impressive.
  </div>
  <div>
   A good hatch of tri-colored bees was feeding on the Knapweed along the bank. They are quite
  </div>
  <div>
   small so were this years hatch. We have a good hatch of Bombus impatiens home in our yard
  </div>
  <div>
   they are about the same time and are feeding on the various flowers around the yard. Hemp Nettle
  </div>
  <div>
   seems a special favorite - I always viewed it as a weed. Depends on your point of view!
  </div>
  <div>
   Enjoy the summer
  </div>
  <div>
   Paul
